Our Lady of Medjugorje

On June 24, 1981 six young adults from a small Croatian village in Bosnia and Herzegovina saw something that changed their lives forever. Our Lady of Peace appeared to them and told them not to be scared. They ran away, and came back the following day. Since then, this small village called Medjugorje visited hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from all over the world, looking for a miracle, healing and to pray.

Many people doubt this story, thinking it’s just a big hoax and nothing else. Vatican has its doubts, too.

But, there are some facts that nobody can deny. Something happened in Medjugorje, something big and divine. The visionaries were put under a lot of tests, all of which proved that they did experience something that was far beyond scientific explanation. Our lady of Medjugorje was guiding the youth of Medjugorje.

In former Yugoslavia, which Medjugorje was then part of, religion was not something Yugoslavian government was encouraging. So, when 6 young people stood up saying that Virgin Mary appeared to them, the government practically did everything they could to cover up the truth.

Our Lady of Medjugorje still appears to the visionaries, talks to them and gives them messages that need to be shared with the world. Blessed Mary prays with pilgrims, encourages them to believe and convert others. Our Lady of Medjugorje talks about salvation and truth, life and hope, faith and courage.

Everyone who comes to Medjugorje can experience special bond with other pilgrims, feel the true comfort of grace and pray. Some of the pilgrims experienced such calmness, like never before in their lives. Illnesses were cured, hope was born again, joy was found and there were no more tears, just happiness.
